8 Things We Love About Christmas

  1. Advent Calendars: A holiday as momentous as Christmas certainly deserves a sweet countdown system, that’s why advent calendars are the perfect accessory. A little piece of chocolate every day is like zero calories, right?
  2. Christmas Movies: It’s a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story, Elf – these are a few of our favorite things. It wouldn’t be Christmas without a few classic flicks!
  3. Driving North for Snow: Okay, so snowflakes are a little difficult to come by in the Valley – but there’s always Flagstaff! The perfect snowman is only a short drive away.
  4. Hot Cocoa: This is like the liquid form of advent calendars – only it warms you up in that cold weather. This wonderful beverage isn’t too conducive during July, but it reemerges from hibernation during the winter months.
  5. Honey Baked Ham: Christmas signifies the time of delicious honey baked hams for many families. We can practically smell it roasting in the oven right now!
  6. Decorating the Tree: Bring out the ornaments, it’s time to dress that Christmas tree up! Regardless if you opt for real or artificial Christmas trees, it makes no difference once the final decorating takes place.
  7. Stockings: What kind of goodies is Santa leaving in the stockings? There isn’t much room so he’ll have to be extra creative!
  8. Caroling: It might seem a little cheesy, but it wouldn’t be the holidays without a few renditions of ‘Rudolph the Red Nosed’ you-know-who.
